The agreement between you and St. Johns Clean for booking and using our cleaning services.

Agreement to These Terms

By booking a cleaning, applying as a cleaner, or otherwise using stjohnsclean.com or our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services. We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

What We Provide

St. Johns Clean is a residential cleaning service operating in St. Johns County, Florida. We offer recurring maid service, deep cleanings, and move-in / move-out cleanings. Pricing, scope, and frequency are presented during booking and confirmed by email and SMS before each visit. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking that we determine to be unsafe, outside our service area, or otherwise outside our service offering.

Scheduling, Changes & Cancellations

  • Bookings made through our site are confirmed by email and SMS once accepted.
  • You may reschedule or cancel a cleaning up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time at no charge.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled start time may incur a fee equal to 50% of the booking total to compensate the assigned cleaner for reserved time.
  • Lockouts (no-access on arrival) are billed at the full booking total.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule or reassign a cleaner due to illness, weather, or unavailability and will notify you as soon as possible.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are flat-rate, presented in U.S. dollars, and confirmed at booking. Payment is collected automatically on the day of service via the credit or debit card you provided at booking. By saving a card on file you authorize St. Johns Clean to charge that card for the agreed amount on the day of each scheduled cleaning.

Card data is processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store full card numbers on our servers. Disputed charges should be reported within 30 days of the cleaning at [email protected].

Our 100% Satisfaction Promise

If you are not completely satisfied with a cleaning, contact us within 24 hours of the visit and we will send a cleaner back to re-clean the issues at no additional charge. The guarantee covers cleaning quality only; it does not cover damage claims, missing items, or issues unrelated to cleaning quality. Damage claims must be reported within 48 hours so they can be addressed under our liability insurance.

SMS / Text Messaging Terms

By providing your mobile phone number to St. Johns Clean through the booking form, contact form, cleaner application, or during a phone or in-person conversation, you agree to receive SMS text messages from St. Johns Clean related to your booking, account, or application. The St. Johns Clean SMS program is a one-on-one customer-care and account-notification service. We do not send promotional, marketing, or bulk advertising text messages.

  • Use: Booking confirmations, appointment reminders, cleaner-arrival notifications, schedule changes, re-clean follow-ups, and two-way conversational messages between you and our team. For applicants and active cleaners: dispatch notifications, address details, and schedule updates.
  • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on activity. Most homeowners receive 2-6 messages per cleaning. Cleaners receive messages only on scheduled work days.
  • Cost: Standard message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. St. Johns Clean does not charge for messages.
  • HELP: Reply HELP at any time to receive support contact information, or call us at (904) 567-9033.
  • STOP: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from SMS messages. After replying STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.
  • Carriers: Supported carriers include T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Boost, Cricket, Virgin Mobile, and others. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how SMS data is handled.

Use of Our Site & Services

When using our site or services you agree not to:

  • Submit false information, fake bookings, or fraudulent payment data.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any cleaner, customer, or member of our team.
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, overload, or interfere with the operation of our site.
  • Use our SMS program for any unlawful purpose or to send unsolicited messages back to us.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from our site without written permission.

Insurance & Limitation of Liability

Every cleaner working through St. Johns Clean is covered by general liability insurance. Damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of the cleaning so they can be evaluated under that policy. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, items of significant value not disclosed in advance, or damage caused by improper labels on cleaning products or surfaces.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to a cleaning is limited to the amount paid for that specific cleaning. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Cleaner Onboarding & Background Checks

Cleaner applicants authorize St. Johns Clean to perform a background check, verify identity and work history, and require proof of general liability insurance. Acceptance into our cleaner network is at our discretion. Cleaners working through our platform are independent contractors and are responsible for their own taxes and self-employment obligations. A separate Cleaner Agreement is provided to applicants who advance past initial screening.

Ending the Relationship

You may stop using our service at any time. We may decline future bookings or remove a cleaner from our network at our discretion, particularly in cases of abusive behavior, repeated late cancellations, fraudulent payment, or violations of these terms. Outstanding balances and any active SMS opt-out requests survive termination.

Florida Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless required otherwise by applicable consumer-protection law.
